A little detail goes a long way. Here's what's most helpful to include, depending on what you're writing about:
Reporting a bug
Tell us the page you were on (the URL), what you entered, and what you expected to happen versus what actually did. If you saw an error message, quoting it exactly helps us track it down.
A result looks wrong
Let us know the exact domain you checked and what you saw. Bear in mind that
some sites block automated checkers (ours identifies itself as
IsItDownBot/1.0), sit behind a CDN, or respond differently by
region — so a check can disagree with your own browser. Even so, if something
looks off, we want to know.
Suggesting a feature
Tell us what you'd like to see — another way to check a site, more detail in the results, or anything else that would make Is This Site Down? more useful to you.
